The Process
The first step to any design project is the initial consultation. We chat about your project, lifestyle, taste, and budget. This is a good time to share any pictures, sketches, etc. that can give Buck an idea as to the scope of the project and to help him identify your goals and desires with the design. After the consultation, an estimate is drawn up and a contract is initiated in order to move forward with a design.

Once the consultation is complete, Buck will sketch a preliminary design using the ideas and project goals discussed during the consultation. Changes can then be made to the design, and then the design is moved into the 3-D modeling stage. At this point, the plans can be further customized to include selections such as colors, finishes, fixtures, appliances, etc.

After the modeling is complete, Buck will draft a set of plans which can be sent to builders (for cost estimates) and engineers (for structural certification). The last step is to make any changes needed once the cost estimating and engineering is complete. After the design of the house is finalized, the official set of building plans will be provided to begin the construction of your dream home!
